There are moments when we are so overwhelmed with negativity that we tend to see the world as bleak and the universe unforgiving. There are also times when we take some of our blessings for granted because we’re focused on the things we’re yet to have. It’s okay to feel these emotions. They are valid, but it’s best not to have them as a recurring theme in your mind. Rather, what we should aim for is having a generally positive outlook towards life. And one of the best ways to do that is to appreciate the good things that life has to offer.

The workplace is not necessarily only a place for work. It shouldn’t be a place that employees would want to get out of the end of the day. Actually, boosting their morale is one of the most proven effective ways to increase productivity. If the employees wear smiles rather than the dread for 5 pm, it could translate to more completed tasks. It could also result in lower attrition among the workforce if they’re satisfied with their work situation. A happy workplace would actually bring positive results. The Top Five Regrets of the Dying by Bronnie Ware has been an eye-opener for me. I began reading this book last year at the start of the pandemic, yes! The time when all seemed uncertain. What it did was to really help me put things into perspective. As I start another year in my life’s journey, I gather all the lessons it brings along.
